Of course there are neo-nazis everywhere, but when they are recognized as historical national heroes, and have significant power  in politics,  that’s a different story..

It has to do with the fact that he is officially renowned as a national hero in Ukraine. There are monuments dedicated to him, amidst the fact that he fought for the Nazis, to build a fascist state he killed many jews and poles. Meanwhile the monuments of Lenin (who created Ukraine artificially) are taken down. Ironic

And when he was officially proclaimed as national hero, Germany and Poland, among other nations, strongly condemned this proclamation, for obvious historical reasons

How does this have anything to do with nowadays?
He was dead even before my parents were born, and now we have to fight against genocide while pseudo-intellectual want to educate us on our own history.

The Holodomor was caused by local administration in Ukrainian territory during the soviet union. Poland and Germany denounced the decision of the Ukranian government to make Bandera a national hero.

1) at Nurnberg Trial he and other Ukrainian nationals were pardoned because they were fighting for independence against 2 totalitarian regimes.

2) after the war he was living a peaceful life, settled in West Germany, where he was assassinated by a KGB agent.

Interesting because this is exactly what Putin was talking about in the recent Tucker interview.
