seeing each other's tx history / balances / spying on counterparties is the version that needs explanation or "narrative"

This reframes the discussion around transparency. I agree that "private" shouldn't be exotic, and "transparent" should be the one with the narrative.

im not against transparency, im against transparency being weaponized against us eventually. the  perfect mix is hard to achieve these days.
