status should never be the goal, but the byproduct

Knowing which game you’re playing is essential. 

The ability to opt out is a luxury

Knowing status games are lose, lose is the first step

Being able to get outside of them in a meaningful way is the second step

Choosing not to play them is the third

Not playing while not retreating is the forth

The vast majority are stuck at step 0 or 1 for various reasons. Its not bad but its a luxury that most dont get to 2 due to circumstance
