Upcoming channel changes

We're *previewing* some upcoming changes so people 1) can understand and 2) provide feedback.

These changes are not launching yet. It will be a couple weeks. There will also be a bunch of communication to channel owners. 

After reading the entire doc, feel free to reply to with feedback or send me a DC. I've tried to answer a lot of common questions in the FAQ.

i rly like these changes fwiz. i think spam is whats holding channels back and this fixes that. happy channel casts arent narrowcasts by default. 

add apis for mods and we could see our first headless (multisig) channels.

i like channels, took a while for it grow on me but it is cool scrolling a channel and seeing lots of different thought on a topic

i think theyve got a lot of potential w a bunch of use cases 🤓

these changes should drive more convo outside of channels, making a better home feed + gib chronological order

why drive outside? i assume most will just grandfather in existing followers minus spam. shouldn't affect behavior much to start, but could over time. as theyve said tho, if this update isnt sticky theyll prob give up on channels altogether

because not everyone will get to be members of where they want to cast, especially if new so they'll have to reply guy (well) or cast good content to the void until more notice. most likely both

and if channel content is better at the same time seems like a win/win ? could only fail if ppl started leaving in droves but i dont see that happening despite constant complaints lol
