In good faith, I want to ask all the non-Trump voters, what are you most afraid of with a Trump presidency? Maybe I can help alleviate your fears in the comments. Again, in good faith.

Oh, good one! Ok, this was an interesting campaign tactic for the Democratic Party. So each side for decades has had think tanks outline what they believe should be the policy of the party leadership. Each party can either take the suggestions or dismiss them. Trump shrugged off the Project. He obviously has his own agenda as you can see what videos he put out today. Here’s a left example of Project 2025. https://www.futureforwardusa.org/issues What the democratic campaign did was brand this as a threat - and a policy agenda for Trump. I don’t think it was as effective as they wanted, because you saw they used this messaging heavy at the beginning of the campaign then switched to “A New away Forward” - that shows it wasn’t resonating with people/ their focus groups.

i didnt see what videos he put out today, and dont trust what he said during the campaign or ever. yes both parties have think tanks and they absolutely influence policy, esp when theyre big donors and connected to the vp. the first step in project 2025 is the mass deportation of illegal immigrants, which is also his day one priority. now that the election is over, some his biggest supporters are aligning in support of it. not saying he'll adopt it all but would expect him to if its tied to his ego/popularity https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-news/republicans-celebrate-project-2025-trump-win-1235155322/

So he supports deportations, initially they will probably focus on known criminals. Gonna have their hands full with that. Governors will put up a fight if he tries to”mass” I think. There’s only so much you can do. Today in his announcement he talked about ending birthright citizenship. These are “government incentives” he will remove, similar to Remain in Mexico policy. Remove the incentive to come illegally and fewer will happen. And yeah, I saw that exact project 2025 tweet from Matt Walsh. He has made this joke a lot actually. It’s to promote his new movie. If you click on the link it takes you to an outdated website with a trailer as a joke. https://x.com/mattwalshblog/status/1854607558734233783?s=46
