i was living in fort greene brooklyn then, near the park. i had a chinese friend who knew people back in china that told her covid was serious. so i knew to prepare before any announcement or panic. i immediately bought a new couch, a good projector, and a rowing machine. when the market crashed, i also eagerly bought the dip lol when lockdown was announced, i honestly reveled in how quiet the city became. i started exercising more outdoors and indoors. and i loved supporting my local restaurants, a lot of which became mini markets for their cuisines and products. yes, i did the banging pots thing. i wasnt too worried about catching it as long as i socially distanced. one time running around the park, i was pretty shook by the site of bodies literally falling out of trucks in front of the hospital. started to take things more seriously then. think that period def led me to become more introverted, and i havent totally recovered tbz
