Ok so do we test our frontends or what? Every time I write a test involving the frontend that ~isn’t~ an end-to-end test I feel like I’m wasting my time…

LOL good question! You should not test for the sake of coverage percentage or whatever your client asks you to do but test for the big picture! Actual user interaction and so on! Maybe E2E is more valuable but also more error prone!
