after:

had to replace all parts. the board i had was an old version and too large for the case. but the case i had didn't have enough space for a PCIe adapter for the ssd anyway, so everything needed to be rebought. 

the good: has an oled screen
the bad: has a few open crevices that i need to tap shut for dust

true. i figured the pi isn't going to get that hot, but prob a good idea to do some temp measurements. i also considered mesh tape that they use for cars which allow a bit of air flow.

Small mesh screen might work better for airflow while keeping dust at bay!
