"I wish I could watch this 30+ minute video on Farcaster"

1. The work required to make video play in the background, not lose your spot, chapter markers, etc. is significant!

2. Farcaster doesn't penalize links in the algo -- so easy to link to a YouTube video (which has a boatload of nice features like automatic transcription, clipping, link to timestamp, download offline, watchlists, etc.)

3. Short videos in-feed, long videos in the better tools

What is there to do well? The embed player works pretty fine in my experience, can expand to fullscreen, etc.

Came across this in Perplexity the other day btw and it felt quite nice for consuming a video on mobile

On mobile? What app? I don’t recall seeing a mobile app with YouTube embeds.
