So sick of seeing takes like these, no one is forcing you to buy anything or promising you any returns, invest what you can afford to lose and face the positive or negative consequences accordingly

I’m a little luke warm on this take. Ultimately I’m responsible for what I buy and lose, yes. But I don’t think it’s a great look for well respected influential people around here to launching tokens haphazardly either. I don’t consider myself to be in this camp but I still don’t want to drag my community into a token launched without intention. This is no shade to any one person. We’re all just fvcking around and finding out but I think this cast is worthy of some consideration

Fair point, we seem to be in a discovery zone right now between tokens that have meaning and ones that are “just a meme” I think as long as the creator doesn’t rug (i.e. snipe a bunch of supply early and then dump on the chart) it’s fine and the market can decide whether or not it’s a good meme

But wouldn’t it be nice if the bar was raised a little higher than “as long as you don’t rug”? That’s me being idealistic and naive but I do genuinely worry about newcomers experiencing crypto on farcaster during a time like this. I’ve seen some pretty terrible outcomes after people biting off more than they can chew. I’ll stop being unfun. I did just buy $bnkr
