would love to have a good discussion (or be pointed to one) about how the nature of work is going to change in the very short term. what's a good strategy for someone trying to pivot from one career to another? how does one avoid over/under optimizing for something that still seems so nebulous? what's the right fit?

depends on what you are going into. if going to something w/ rigorous system (at entry level) eg medical, law, sports. there is generally a playbook/known path. if going into something less rigorous then you can hack eg s/w, trades, design dw about 'future of work'. learn to talk the talk and walk the walk first

start from your strengths careers are idiosyncratic so in general an individualized approach is best right now there’s someone making bank fixing mainframes and maintaining COBOL code
