Agree with this. All of the go to market and messaging work that Base is doing is so much stronger if their main CTA can be “Download Base in the App Store to go onchain”. The more users Base brings onchain the better it is for all developers. It’s the exact same reasoning as why Warpcast should be Farcaster

an observation (that may come off as insensitive): some of the people with the strongest emotional reaction to the recent market downturn are those whose near-term lives won't materially change. no immediate plans to buy a home, retire, pay for school, etc. no liquidity needs, no LPs to whom they need to deliver.

I'm sympathetic to the developer neutrality point, but there is now a provably permissionless stack, the tech is credibly neutral. This wasn't the case a few years ago. One thing I like about Farcaster over Twitter that reminds me of the old days of CT is simply the love and good vibes from people. There's almost zero PVP here, and no one fakes strong opinons to farm engagement. Example below (I have 6 times less followers on Twitter):
