Ezra Pound translated a poetry collection called "Huaxia Collection". He selected 19 out of over 150 poems, among which 12 were written by the "Poet Immortal" Li Bai, indicating his admiration for the latter. His choice was not blind, but a purposeful one that combined the needs of American new poetry. Therefore, the Chinese poems he chose were concise and clear style ancient Chinese poems. Furthermore, in terms of translation, Ezra Pound put in a lot of effort because ancient Chinese poetry emphasizes artistic conception. He wanted to combine the essence of poetry, cultural understanding, and profound English skills to reproduce the beauty of artistic conception in Chinese poetry.🤩 🤩 🤩
