GDP growth estimates are falling sharply: The Atlanta Fed's latest estimate of real quarterly U.S. GDP growth in Q2 2024 is 1.7%. This estimate is down from the 4.2% estimate noted in mid-May and the 2.2% estimate noted on June 28. If this estimate is correct, this would be the second consecutive quarter of GDP growth below 2.0% after Q1 2024 GDP of 1.4%.
