I just spent an hour in target buying things for my daughterโs freshman dorm. The dichotomy between the I-donโt-even-know-what-to-call-it-section - toiletries, self care, personal hygiene, whatever- for girls vs boys is totally freaking me out. Itโs a 12:1 aisle ratio. Twelve aisles of skin care, hair care, makeup, and more, marketed to girls, to a single aisle marketed to guys. What is happening? Iโm counting the cumulative time girls are wasting choosing products. Someone tell me Iโm wrong to be depressed?
