It most certainly holds up.

I'm in my mid-thirties now. I still empathize with a lot of Siddhartha's questioning and perhaps even a bit of his youthful arrogance. As a father to a young child, I also feel some of Siddhartha's love for his child. It's beautiful. 

The harder pill to swallow (and perhaps this is the central point of the book) is the peace that Siddhartha finds in the end. It's not that it sounds unreasonable, just that I actually agree that much of wisdom is experiential.

Appreciate you man, truly. Love that you went back to it, beyond holds up
