On December 17, the bill HB 703 on the creation of a bitcoin reserve was introduced to the House of Representatives of the American state of Ohio. The news was shared by the author of the proposal, Republican Derek Merrin.
The bill gives state authorities the opportunity to purchase the first cryptocurrency, but does not impose any obligation to purchase.
Merrin suggests that the Donald Trump administration will implement the national bitcoin reserve project using a model similar to the proposal of Senator Cynthia Lummis.
