Beautifully written. From neuroscience and cognitive science to teaching computers to see with the emerging search engines, crowdsourcing, powerful GPUs, it's a great example of how interdisciplinary research, human-centered approach , and a touch of serendipity could make a significant difference in the quest to AI.
