Lessons from working on emerging tech and to some extent relying on another platform succeeding (like some of you building a co that's betting on FC):

You're more than likely too early. But that doesn't mean there aren't users and valuable problems to solve.

Your arbitrage is being early to solve hard problems. When you're this early "a better user experience" can't be your moat. 

You have a head start to solve the hard problems people shy away from and new entrants will need to grapple with to catch up. Whether it's speed, cryptography, indexing, etc. 

Take the time to solve some of the hard engineering while you can. Because you're not racing to a billion users here (yet). 

And this stuff compounds. If you need to pivot and have a lightning fast indexer for example you can build a better X than most people.

Oh and it goes without saying: to execute this playbook you need to stay alive. Don't die. Manage your financial and emotional runway.
