why do VCs on twitter DM "hey" without any other words, AND without following me – ive gotten a few of these idgi i even got a "cool thing, lets chat" and i asked what they would like to talk about and got ghosted for weeks what is with VCs

Guessing this is from junior investors (not partners)? They'll do anything to get a win on their resume - even if it means convincing themselves that sending messages like this actually works.
