This is M0, the USD monetary base, the raw cash in the system most similar economically to crypto and commodity monies. Since the 2008 crisis it has exploded like no time in US history. Unless Elon can get US spending under control, every crisis and recession will spike base money printing higher and higher. Covid, a mostly invented crisis, by itself doubled M0.
