Senator Cynthia Lummis introduced a bill calling for the creation of a strategic Bitcoin reserve in the US. It is proposed that this will help reduce the national debt by purchasing 1 million BTC over five years. The purchased Bitcoin will, in turn, be held for at least 20 years.
