my biggest question would be: why should someone do this on Farcaster vs. where there are typically rich communities around niches elsewhere? 

related: how can we support this happening generally? how can we get people to do this without turning each channel (inevitably) into a product, a token, a whatever

I love products and tokens but this (should?) be natural, social, if boosted or encouraged a bit by people in the network

@atlas what do you think can be farcaster's niche when there are already many established online communities on reddit, X, instagram, telegram, etc.?

A decentralized online community is Farcaster's biggest advantage, setting it apart from Web2 social networks. It means a platform that governments can’t control or censor.

Nostr is a decentralized social network built on Bitcoin,  
and Farcaster is a decentralized social network built on Ethereum.

These two could shape the future of Web3!
