I actually brought bourbon from kentucky (where I’m from) to Berlin bc the price diff is 5x… if I can even find it!

Haha. Have you had willet rye? I’ll take against almost anything. There’s also a distillery that’s primarily local to Louisville called Peerless which is more excellent than almost anything you can get outside of KY (and sub $100)

I usually go for Blanton’s bourbon or Templeton or Hirsch rye. Never had Peerless but trust a locals opinion in the brown stuff… I dated a girl from Lexington, so my mint juleps are a little better than the average CT Yankee in King Arthur, or anybody else for that matters court.
