Yes indeed! As people have said, it’s hot (~30°C in the shade) and humid (both relative humidity + frequent rain). However the rain is tropical — heavy but also short, and the rest of the time tends to be quite sunny. Your hair and skin might feel different, you won’t need skin moisturizers as much.
So, sunscreen if you intend to walk, but realistically most people don’t go out in the sun (way too hot) and wait for sunset (which comes early e.g. ~7pm due to being on the Equator).
Light and sun-protecting clothes, walking shoes if you intend to visit the parks, sunglasses, hat, are a must. My advice is to travel light as you can always get a large local selection of stuff you might need (great malls!).
