There are a lot of legitimate concerns here that we need to try and address. I am not 6 months of freezing will solve them

My personal concerns are:

whether we are prioritizing short term profit to the detriment of long term control

discoverability of quality creators over quality marketers - which btw is not new just magnified with AI

So few can, and want to, think beyond their own lives

I agree, and on that front there are plenty of logical reasons why (albeit mostly selfish). 

A lot of the same arguments are made for the protecting the environment. 

What seems to be a trend though, at least among my core group, is the desire to see beyond your individual lifetime and consider the future of society
