Are we better off turning off notifications on all social media? I suspect the cheap dopamine from notifications is not worth the price we pay for it. Constantly shifting attention and not being able to focus deeply is doo big of a price. We are better off turning off notifications and allocating 1-2 windows of hourly sessions to check for social media. Unless you need it for work, I feel like what I describe is better than just having notifications on. Would like to hear thoughts and experience of others.

I do low-key feel like I need it for "work" in the crypto space. Ngl it would be amazing to only tap into the digisphere for 1-2 hours a day but then I feel like I'm doing a disservice to things that I am missing. It deff is a spectrum

maybe keep it on from 12 to 17:00? or similar window that aligns with your crypto working hours, but is active only 60% of your working time
