governments want control over as much of your daily life as possible

while evil, I think this is more rooted in convenience

it is easier and more convenient to govern a population that you control vs. one you do not

the government is incentivized to surveil you

The government still tries to control your opinions 

but the villains have changed

their goal is to scare you away from the cryptographers and developers who want to give you the tools to protect your rights and privacy

and DROPAGANDA is here to show how absurd that is

when there are means that may prevent or subvert that surveillance, the government is incentivized to act against it

sometimes it can do so through laws, but other times it needs to sway the opinions of the people

this is what propaganda is for
