Pixeldrop is now live on the App Store 🎉 🟨 

i’ve worked on a handful of iOS apps before but this is my first solo published app that ever made it out of TestFlight. big moment, i guess?

The app looks cool, but redacting text with pixelation is a big security concern, given the amount of tools that exist to reverse pixelated text. Face use is safe has far as I'm aware.

Fair, but unless you make it obvious people won't know about it. And that screenshot is literally the contrary of making it obvious.

can you try to reverse engineer the text? got any tools that can do this?

The most famous is called Depix https://github.com/spipm/Depixelization_poc, but there's a bunch of variants.

You may be right, have tried a couple different tests and still nothing. Have one more I want to try, but I'm assuming the result is going to be the same.
