Softbank entering a market usually means the peak of local peak of the market. That includes the dot com bust, the bond market local top. Perplexity is one of the best products to come out of this cycle though

I don't know, maybe Perplexity is still around in 4 years but I'm not sure it will ever be a meaningful competitor in the Search market. Great AI, but they do have a lack luster search algo.
