I'm in a Google Group called "xgoog-investing." As the name suggests, the group consists of early ex-Googlers. It ostensibly exists for the purpose of discussing investing, but is in reality a forum for showcasing the absolute highest levels of obsessive compulsive autism that was a hallmark of the early ex-Googler. 10/10, would join again

For example, a recent thread started with a YouTube video on financial nihilism, but subsequently spurred a heated argument about whether a ChatGPT-generated summary of a YouTube video transcript was considered worthwhile content for the forum itself. Incredible stuff

and you can take that to the bank but seriously, that’s valuable perspective to improve how people approach sharing and consuming information generative content and summaries are great for deep diving, but telling your audience why it matters to you is what really beings people along for the ride
