Does anybody understand why precisely Signature Bank got shut down? Nobody seems to be asking or answering this question.

No? Where in that article does it say why regulators closed the bank?

Again, no where in the article does it say that they were actually insolvent; that they could not meet their obligations to depositors. In fact, they explicitly say that their assets are greater than their deposits.

"Signature saw a torrent of deposits leaving its coffers, according to a person with knowledge of the matter. Its stock, along with the stocks of some of its peers, also continued to tank."

Monday bloodbath was coming. 90% of its deposits above 250k. Bank assets illiquid and couldn't match the outflow.
