Are you going to watch the Chinese version? It came out last year, and people say it closely follows the books. Not sure about the Netflix one. Still need to finish reading before I begin to watch.

Maybe you can watch the version made by Tencent on youbute. Netflix just made this TV series to cater to those who don't understand Chinese culture. All the friends I know don't like the Netflix version. Tencent made a legend, Netflix made shit.

Agree. I started on the book first, then the TV show to recap what had happened in the book. Episode 4 is almost exactly how I imagined it would be!
