Keone Hon, founder of Monad, is known as a serious tech leader who moved from HFT to building his own chain. But behind the sharp mind is a surprisingly fun and curious spirit.

As a kid, he left small-town Hawaii to attend top U.S. schools. At Phillips Exeter, he stood out in math competitions and was dubbed a “problem-solving kid” by local media.

In 2014, he published Introduction to Statistics.
