Web3 is working. Some are just web2 apps, but now with wallets as logins and all that enables. Warpcast is web3 Twitter. Sending dot me is web3 WhatsApp. Others are new kinds of apps that have a web2-like interface but are enabled by web3. Tiplink is like web3 Bitly + NFTs. Driphaus is like web3 Mailchimp + NFTs.

I think physically pointing trumps it but it’s an early one.

I wonder sometime about the perception of synchronicity. Is it an illusion perpetrated by humans notoriously bad ability to innately tie statistics to life or if there is a thread we could actually follow.

I suppose it depends. Fashion for example almost goes negative with function as means to increased aesthetics. Who is the audience and what is the goal. Design to me is the vehicle to accomplish the task, aesthetics and function are just tools.

I learned basic web design myself a while ago and that was fine I was able to use those skills to build out websites for people fairly quickly. The issue right now with JavaScript is the ability to work on meaningful projects to apply skills seems a bit more of a stretch. Any ideas? I learn better with real assets.

It’s not that the wallet experience scars people away it’s that there is nothing enticing anyone to come in. Emails were gatekeepers for some baby boomers for a while until it become obvious it was needed. Once there is viable product, the act of setting up a wallet won’t be a concern.

What I mean as someone who is involved with the nft and crypto scene. Almost nothing outside of financial rails which are scary for most due to lack of regulation is built that entice anyone to set up a wallet. The wallet is needed everywhere in web3 but there is currently nothing of substance in web3.

I just think the issue is there is currently no reason to have a crypto wallet. Once there is a killer app people will get a wallet and realize it’s more convenient login mechanism then what is currently understood.

I sort of disagree. right now(current web2) signing up to a new platform requires an email verification step that is in my mind more annoying than the wallet experience.

I wonder if Avatar will usher in a remix of the flower child era. I am severely tired of super hero movies and they don't fit the narrative of the moment, unless we consider social media personalities heroes. Flower child right now works as climate change starts to take center stage again.
