everything can be tokenized โ and honestly, a lot of things should be, if we want more people to care about putting things onchain. i don't believe tokenizing everything helps in my personal case (mainly as an artist) โ but i definitely see how it can empower many creators to kickstart their web3 journey. i minted my first NFT in 2020, and it changed my life. now, with simpler tools, even people with zero experience can start experimenting for cheap โ and maybe change their lives too. being here and opposing people creating coins (whether you call them contentcoins, memecoins, vibecoins, or whatever โ it's just branding) is basically opposing the free use of the most native onchain asset: the token.

I'm struggling to find the appeal of purchasing things someone puts onchain vs just liking/favoriting it. If I come across a coined photo from someone I don't know, what would make me buy it? Is there a speculation aspect where you may sell it at a higher price if you buy in earlier than others, or just to support the creator?

we're on the same boat. 'collecting' coins isn't fun, i don't like to collect artworks and have the experience being a swap trade. honestly, i stopped collecting on zora because of this โ only minted a few things to support friends.
