i started like everyone else, by grabbing a pencil and putting it to paper. the only difference is, i never stopped drawing — most people do at some point in their lives.

that's very true! many people lose interest and move onto other things. did you feel that your childhood or family encouraged you or influenced your art? or does that not enter into your mind - meaning that you just started creating and knew you wanted to do it?
