Hey Parents!

Before school starts I looked into debit cards for kids that teach them financial responsibility and the value of money.

My son never really had chores, but I found that he is extremely motived by money 😅, so I set up tasks for him to tick off to earn and manage his own finances. He went right to work on the highest ticket item 😂

Love that it comes with fun explainer videos that you as a parent can also incentivize. Curious to see how it all pans out…Card will arrive in a week!

I compared Greencard and GoHenry and went with GoHenry as it seemed very straight forward.

One important thing my parents never taught me, is how to manage money.

Building a solid foundation early on, will help avoid pitfalls later on in life (or so I hope). 🤞🏼

My parents never taught me that too. Even they are suck at it. Sad that most of the boomer generation as parents (Asian especially) aim to make their children their source of income later in life. Making most of us stuck in the sandwich generation box. So it’s refreshing to see this cast! You’re doing a great❤️

Yes I am. Most of the friends I know here have the same issue right now, we gotta pay our own bills, shape our lives, and we’re also expected to pay all of our parents’ bill 😅 I have no idea how I can keep up with it till now, but somehow I do *cryinginside 😂

🌸 Oh, that is an interesting perspective to hear. Are you Asian? My parents were not concerned at all as to what I would be ending up doing. I am a free spirit and couldn't have been put into a mold or forced path ~ that certainly would have never worked out for me...😅
