CMU’s tuition (~$54,310 USD/y) is 27 times that of NTU in Taiwan (~$2,031 USD/y). Even if the education quality is 5x better (which imo is probably just 2x), then the 80% rest is ???. It’s really surprising how affordable education in Taiwan is.

Lately, I’ve been really enjoying the labs of the "great" course from CMU - "Introduction to Computer Systems". The quality of the material makes me wonder how much effort was put into this course! Cheers to the faculty for nurturing this great educational experience!

Spaced repetition learning systems like Anki are extremely underrated. I’ve been using Anki to learn Japanese for just over 6 months, and the results are fantastic! The lack of understanding of the underlying science shouldn’t block broader adoption of these powerful tools.

What makes learning Japanese so gratifying is how little English is spoken in Japan! Knowing a bit of Japanese makes a night and day difference 🇯🇵🤯 日本語を学ぶ過程をとても楽しんでいます❤️
