We're not discussing land for trade, agriculture, or living purposes. The focus is on military maneuvers. Imagine if China acquired islands near the Gulf of America to deploy nuclear arms, reminiscent of the Cuban missile crisis. Similarly, Russia might purchase Pacific islands to do the same.
