I love this idea, really! 

The relief side of me says - wow, this is awesome! (and here's $100 or so to prove it)

The opsec side of me says - how do I know this isn't me paying someone to steal my ENS?  I need some more assurances to actually trust a frame to manage my ENS.

Also, you inspired me to renew my domain for 50 years

Whatever your decentralized, borderless, neutral, censorship-resistant open blockchain question is, the answer is YES… to Crypto!

Seems I could have the frame user sign a transaction to spend x ETH.  The user doesn't see that the contract is for ENS provider or for my nefarious contract - either way, the user is likely to approve it unless wallet does some spam protection.

Transaction relays are the future of frame transactions imo. There is almost no risk in transferring eth to an EOA and asking them to execute a transaction somewhere. The only remaining problem is that you need to trust the relayer to not run away with your funds
