That's pretty cool, what is it coming from?

Ko’olau mountain range is the spine that cuts through the middle of Oahu. Warm, moist trade winds climb up the windward side of the summit (right side of pic) forming fast moving clouds. 

As they try to crawl over the summit to the leeward side (left side of pic) they compress & warm super fast on the descent, creating this ‘cloud wall’ effect where they disappear instantly.

It’s pretty mesmerizing to watch.
