Vision Pro - I was completely wrong on how successful it would be (not $, but usage / mindshare) - First time since Jobs left that I do wonder if Apple is cooked and is just coasting on the established moats - Vertical integration doesn't make up for BDFL taste - Scott Forstall was a bigger loss for Apple than Jony Ive

yeah, I think Chamath articulates the symptoms but not the diagnosis (cites Ive as having good opinions about software)

They really should've just waited and had ALL of Apple Intelligence polished and ready for iOS 19, but they wanted to get in on the ai boom. Their marketing about how "apple intelliegece is here" when the actually good siri is still months away (18.4 apparently) makes them look like a joke
