Before the GPT4o update, Midjourney was definitely the best text-to-image tool. Now they have a tough competitor and rumours say OpenAI is working on a game changer new model for image generation.

Currently Midjourney seems to be more "artistic" , while GPT is better for anime style and image manipulation

if you need text in your images ChatGPT is the way to go, there's no competition. MJ is ages behind on this

and interestingly, this "text working in ChatGPT" is less than a week old!

Stuff changes SO FAST

With chatGPT it's nice because I can give it styles and things to use, edit sections, remix parts and then I just take it into canva or illustrator to tweak it further

They did an amazing job with this new model! 
When it comes to text and editing it's the undisputed king, as regards styles I remember there was a dope button in MJ that lets you copy the exact style from any image
