They'll be apps with time. But right now, "apps" means a iOS/Android mobile app. High friction to download, sign up, connect card, etc.

Mini-apps are a new channel for your "app" that lives in a Feed. Maybe it's the primary channel. Mini-apps compress the user onboarding funnel friction to a single tap. Auth, data/social context, and even payment are a single tap. Discovery is native in the Feed.

So start with "mini-apps". With time and adoptions, they'll become "apps".

"Frames" have cool niche Farcaster history but don't try to invent a new term here. It'll cause more problems than it solves.

They will be called apps eventually. It will take a longer timeframe than people in crypto think but a shorter time frame than people outside of crypto think.

i actually dont mind frames, mini-apps whatever for now all kind of the same. mini apps flows better with things on telegram and worldcoin think more devs will call them miniapps so they are interoperable across different distribution apps

imo we need to get more creative.. something as weird as any crypto's new standard 😅
