How do you get into a flow state when you have a couple hours of coding ahead?

(Doesn't always have to be unit tests these days, but IMO any tight feedback loop is great for finding flow.)

The older I get, the more the fundamentals really matter: getting good sleep, drinking water, regular exercise. (I hate it, but it's true!)

A good testing workflow always helps me. Some early programming mentors of mine practiced rigorous TDD, and I find the red-green-refactor cycle a great way to focus.
