We met on the background of common interests, often communicated in companies and corresponded with each other. We were aware of each other's lives. He officially divorced his wife six months ago and lives in a rented house. Openly said that he wants a relationship, but he has nothing to give me. And he doesn't want to be useless.
I offered him a bunch of options - I work a lot, I'm rarely home. I don't need money, but I often need help around the house and with my parents. Nothing impossible - to drive, to bring, to buy food, to clean. The answer is rejection and contempt. A year tightly communicated with the man and he practically cut off contact after this conversation. I guess I should have jumped into bed with him and sang that I didn't need anything from him.
