Ethereum Liquid Restaking protocols saw a dramatic 6,000% Total Locked Value (TVL) increase in 2024. According to data from DefiLlama, on January 1 the total value locked in the sector was about $284 million, but by December 15 it had reached $17.26 billion. This growth is mainly due to the use of Liquid Re-Staking Tokens (LRTs), which simplify the Ethereum staking process and increase capital efficiency in the DeFi sector.
