It’s hard to ignore how much tourism has shaped New Zealand’s economy. But now that the pandemic is over, we need to think long-term. I’ve heard a lot of talk about diversifying the economy so that it’s not so dependent on international visitors. A stronger manufacturing sector might be a good step.
