**Anonymous post** Just Let Go When we develop feelings for someone, it’s easy to get wrapped up in their actions and start hoping to be that special person for them. But over time, that kind of thinking can lead to a lot of stress and confusion. So one day, I decided to put my phone down and stop checking for messages. Instead, I dove into music, movies, books, or picked up my paintbrush and guitar to find some real peace. When I did get a message from them, I chatted like we were best friends, not focusing on any romantic expectations. By approaching it this way, I realised something over time. And if things didn’t turn romantic, I could still part on good terms, gaining a friend instead. Honestly, that’s not a bad thing at all.

From the initial excitement to the calm acceptance of parting ways, I learned that letting go of attachment makes life feel so much lighter and freer. Life is too big to revolve around just one person. There’s a whole world out there waiting to be explored. If two people truly like each other, there’s no need to cling too tightly; real feelings will naturally develop.

Sometimes, taking a step back and focusing on self-care and personal hobbies can bring unexpected clarity and peace in relationships. Building a strong foundation of friendship can often lead to more meaningful connections in the long run.
